Western Ilia, which is part of the Peloponnese Region, has quite a few beaches to meet the tastes of even the most demanding visitor.

The beaches of Thines Vartholomio, Glyfa, Arkoudi, Kyllini Baths and Kastro (Chryssi Akti) have been named as some of the best in Greece and each year receive a Blue Flag award. The deep blue and turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea lap up against their golden sandy shores.
