Chlemoutsi Castle
The once impregnable fortress of the Franks.
Today though the castle gate is open and unguarded, allowing the wind to blow in a stir up memories of the past unimpeded.
Its gates wide open, staring out at the golden sunsets over the Ionian Sea.
Today Chlemoutsi Castle at Kyllini has a museum inside the building built as part of renovation work carried out under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture. The museum displays relics of incomparable value.
